Thank you for your letter of 22 August about the
proposed Hong Kong relay station.
As you know, my officials here are working on
the details of the case to be put to the Governor of
Hong Kong. They have been in contact with BBC staff
about this. It will then be for the Governor, once
he has been formally notified of our interest, to consult
his Executive and Legislative Councils on the question
of a Hong Kong contribution towards the cost of
the project.
