(i) Course structure
(a) Core Curriculum :
There is a compulsory programme of studies which
every student is required to follow.

the primary school curriculum and approaches to
teaching in the primary school), and complementary
programmes.
(b) Elective subjects:
In addition to the Core Curriculum programme, each
student is required to elect for study three
subjects which he/she intends to teach after
graduation from the course. Two subjects are elected
on a major elective basis and one subject on a
minor elective basis. A major elective subject is
studied over the first two years of the course.
