Each institute can accommodate about 1,500 full-time
students or the equivalent in full-time and part-time day courses.
External centres are used to provide the necessary additional
accommodation for evening classes. The student enrolment in the
technical institutes has increased rapidly over the past decade,
as the following figures show:
