Language in schools

The two languages used in the

mainstream of the school system are Chinese and English.

Whereas

the written form of Chinese is the standard traditional (unsimplified)

script the dialect used by virtually all schools is Cantonese, the

principal dialect of the people of Hong Kong and of the adjacent
