Screening would be feasible by UK members only, but so far as possible, validating advisory teams would wish to make arrangements which would be convenient for all members. Such meetings would generally take either one or two days.
Hong Kong Meetings

Once a prima facie case for detailed discussion with the staff has been established, a Hong Kong validation exercise will be arranged. Typically, it is expected that 8 working days in Hong Kong will be needed, but two of these would be low key days at the start of a week when members would adjust to the UK/HK time difference. major interactions with staff are envisaged with a 2-day interval in which course team could endeavour to answer significant questions or re-model parts of a course to meet specific criticisms. Resource weakness would not, of course, be amenable to immediate correction but points of detail would lend themselves to this kind of resolution. In general, reports would be drawn up in draft form before the team leaves Hong Kong so that members would have already signified their agreement. Reports cleared by CNAA would generally be available about 4 weeks after a visit.
Validation of the Paytechnic
Validation of the Polytechnic as referred to in para. 8 could be combined with an early course meeting (probably the first of these). CNAA would need to add for this purpose an additional two members with particular expertise in this type of overall validation, and the Chief
