However, in view of what you wrote in the 3rd sentence of your first paragraph, I will defer stimulating further action through Questions and Answers here and by parallel action through the Council of Europe and do my best to prevent others doing so in the later case, for the time being; at least until it becomes clear whether we are or are not going to make the one final gesture which I think is a British obligation which I would not wish to see shirked.
