We have suggested schemes in sections 4 and 5 above

against which we think employers could probably insure for a relatively small premium. However, we must emphasise that these are only ideas at this juncture and are not concrete proposals. We believe they are more practical than the proposals in the Green Paper, but will require further investigation as to the cost to the employer. This has not been possible in the time available.

The Chinese Manufacturers' Association does not necessarily associate itself with the above. They are sympathetic to the principle of providing additional benefits, but feel that there is insufficient detail at present to offer any valid comment.
