4. Part I of the First Schedule to the principal
Ordinance is amended in items 11 and 12 by deleting
"stages 1 to 4 and stage 6" and substituting the
following
"stages 1 to 6 and stage 8".
Explanatory Memorandum
This Bill extends the application of the
provisions of the principal Ordinance to stages 5 and
8 of the Mass Transit Railway, that is, to the proposed
Island Line.
Additional staff will be required in connexion
with Mass Transit Railway land resumptions, and compensation
in respect of land resumptions is estimated at $997 millions.
