be granted to other developers, this is most unlikely to occur in these cases because of the difficulties which will be experienced in developing these sites. There could also be some resentment from owners previously expropriated from them. It is not intended therefore to publicise the grant of these sites, but any questions regarding them will be answered fully.

Honourable Members will be asked to advise whether:
(a) the seven sites listed in paragraph 1(a) above should be granted by private treaty to the Mass Transit Railway Corporation on the basic terms set out in paragraphs 4, 8, 12, 17, 21, 25 and 29 of Annex B;
and
(b) approval in principle should be given for the grant by private treaty to the Mass Transit Railway Corporation of the two sites listed in paragraph 1(b) above on the basic terms set out in paragraph 9 of Annex C.
(The Secretary for the Environment (Acting) (Mr G. BARNES) and the Government Land Agent/Mass Transit (Mr A. J. HARLAND) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
