Examination of the transmission systems of GPC and CLP to ensure that the energy supplied from the power station is compatible in all technical aspects with the systems now in existence;

Methods of operation of the power plant in association with the methods of operating the grid system to permit maximum utilisation of the nuclear power station;

Collect and analyse data on the power systems in Guangdong and Hong Kong;

Collect and analyse data on power system development in Guangdong and Hong Kong;

Investigation of the system load curves, system operation and load despatching in Guangdong and Hong Kong;

Unit capacity of the nuclear reactors and turbo-generators;

Necessity and feasibility of construction of hydro power stations and pumped storage schemes in Guangdong and Guangxi for peak lopping;

connections in the nuclear power transmission system for connection of the nuclear power station to Guangdong and Hong Kong network;

Organisation

GPC and CLP agreed that :

Each Working Subcommittee will have adequate resources from CLP and GPC to achieve the objectives. The Management Group and the Chairmen of the Subcommittees will decide the organisation and membership of the Subcommittees. GPC and CLP will each appoint one member for the Joint Chairmenship of each Subcommittee. The Subcommittees will be serviced by secretaries and all agreed minutes will be submitted to the Management Group.
