Members from both companies should observe the principles equality, mutual benefit and friendly consultation and work under the guidance of the Management Group. They will perform the scheduled duties assigned by, and report progress to, the Management Group.
The objectives of the individual Working Subcommittees are as follows
:
i.
Economic Subcommittee
The Economics Subcommittee will be responsible for carrying out the studies and investigations listed below and for drafting the relevant parts of the feasibility report, the Agreement, Contract, and Articles of Association of the joint development under guidance of the Management Group :
(a)
(b)
Financial and economic aspects of nuclear generation versus fossil fired plant;
Management structure to be implemented if the power station
is constructed;
(c)
Methods
by which a joint development project could be developed to meet the interests of GPC and CLP;
(a)
Estimate of the total and itemised investment of the project, including cost of land; origin of finance ratio of investments to be made by GPC and CLP;
and
(e)
(E)
The sharing and prices of electricity output from the nuclear power station;
Repayment of loans and eventual transfer of full ownership of joint development company to GPC;
(9) Other matters.
ii. Site Selection Subcommittee
The Site Selection Subcommittee will be responsible for carrying out the studies and investigations listed below and for drafting the relevant parts of the feasibility report under guidance of the Management Group :

(b)
Possible sites in Guangdong Province for the construction of a nuclear power station, having regard to safety, the environment and population exposure;
Geological, seismological, hydrographic and meteorological studies;
(c) Water supply;
