IV EC/CHINA BUSINESS WEEK IN BRUSSELS
A Chinese delegation of about 100 headed by Vice-Premier Gu Mu will meet with 300 European companies in an event primarily aimed at improving Chinese export performance in the European market. Because in many sectors improving Chinese export performance depends on the import of modern plant and technology, European investment opportunities in China will also be a main topic for discussion. After two days for the initial plenary sessions and one day for sectoral discussions, six days will be devoted to
Members of the Chinese developing individual business contacts. delegation will also be available for post-conference visits to individual companies.
The six sectors represented are:
Minerals and non-ferrous metals, hides and furs, light industry, silk/linen/ramie products, chemical and pharmaceutical primary products, and machinery.
