Mr Clift asked about Mr March's 1981 duty tour. This was raised at the Hong Kong TAG meeting. The background is that POD are unhappy about Mr March coming to the UK in June because this would trigger a rule by which he could not be posted before early 1982. POD feel this is an unacceptable constraint on their freedom of action. We have undertaken to pursue the matter.
