Robert Archer, a contact of Walter Easey of the London based London Fesearch Project, recently visited Hong Kong and was in touch with local pressure groups. He claimed to be a member of the Catholic Institute of International Relations (of which nothing is known at present) and voiced particular interest in The Lease and citizenship questions. He has since left but plans to return for further research with a view to producing a paper to be published in the UK. Some of those with whom he was in contact are said to have found his ideas extrene.

Another recent visitor using Easey's name in making contact with local pressure group leaders was the Lord Provost of Glasgow, Dr. Michael Kelly, who came to Hong Kong as a member of a Scottish Trade Mission and expressed an interest in seeing the other side of Hong Kong".

The Hong Kong based Asia Monitor Resource Centre, which consists mainly of expatriate Americans ostensibly concerned with human rights issues, has received from the US based Covert Action Information Bulletin the names of the heads of CIA Missions in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. It is not known whether the Centre intends to make this information public.
