The increase in full cost fees for overseas students (apart from the student union addition) is designed to maintain them in real terms. The increase is consistent with Rate Support Grant cash limit assumptions.

Universities

The minimum fees recommended by the UGC follow a realistic re-assessment of fee levels now that universities are no longer in receipt of any Government subsidy for the overseas students concerned and have to cover the full costs of their tuition.
