Michael Sandberg, the Chairman of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, was recently in Peking for the opening of their representative office there.

His visit provided an opportunity for him to speak to both Rong Yiren, Chairman of the China International Trust and Investment Corporation, and Bu Ming, Chairman of the Bank of China, about problems the Hong Kong economy would face relatively soon if investors did not have further reason to maintain their confidence.
