Particular points I would be grateful for advice on are details of any training carried out in the UK for nationals from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand together with their respective UKMTAS allocations. Could Defence Department also please advise on the general principle of who decides on which courses are to be subsidised once UKMTAS provision has been made for a particular country.
3. (For SE Asia Dept only). I attach also a copy of the latest brief on ASEAN that I could discover (provided by you for Lord Trenchard's visit to Malaysia). I would be grateful to know whether
this is still current.
