Sir Y K Pao paid a visit on the Prime Minister on 17 July. As you will see from the Prime Minister's Private Secretary's letter of 17 July (copy attached) the meeting yielded little that was new.
2. Sir Y K Pao has since written to the Prime Minister thanking her for seeing him. I enclose her reply (with
a spare copy) and I should be grateful if you would arrange for it to be forwarded to him.
