HONG KONG: MR RIDLEY'S MEETING WITH SIR MURRAY MACLEHOSE:

Items (i) to (iv) were subjects raised by Senior Unofficial, Sir S Y Chung, when he met Mr Ridley on 28 July.
2.
Sir Murray is having lunch with the Secretary of State and the PUS on 26 August. I understand the governorship of Hong Kong will be discussed then.
3. Sir Murray appears to have recovered well from his second hip operation. He leaves for Hong Kong on 27 August.
