1. I attach draft steering briefs for the visits to China, Korea and Japan on which we should welcome your comments. Comments on China should if possible reach Mr Paul by close on 4 December (K255 233.5539); on Korea, Mr England (K261 233.8749) by close on 8 December; and on Japan, Mr Stark (K260 233.3259) by close on 8 December. (Mr Paul will be taking some leave and if comments are received after 4 December they should be addressed to me.) departments will not receive all the steering briefs since the subjects covered may not touch on their concerns. nevertheless they would like to see a copy we can supply
them.
