BRIEFS FOR THE LORD PRIVY SEAL'S VISIT TO HONG KONG
1. I attach briefing for the Lord Privy Seal's visit to Hong Kong in January. The briefs have been cleared with FCO depart-
ments and other Government Departments as appropriate.
2. Briefs on the Future of Hong Kong (No 10) and the Multi- Fibre Arrangement (No 7) are not yet ready as the position on them is not finalised. They should be produced before Christmas. The brief on the Guangdong Nuclear Project (No. 12) is being prepared by Far Eastern Department.
