TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
(a) Each member of the party must hold a valid passport with a visa for China. The latter visa has already been obtained for those travelling by Conference Section.

(b) There are no compulsory health requirements for the countries involved in the tour. Members have already been advised of the Treasury Medical Advisory Service's recommendations for various inoculations.
(c) On Treasury Medical advice, anti-malaria pills are enclosed for China and Korea. One tablet should be taken every day during the visits to these two countries. Double dosage should commence 48 hours before arrival in the area and single dosage should continue for four weeks after departure.

CLIMATE/CLOTHING
Advice from the posts is as follows:-
Hong Kong
Mean daily temperatures during January range between 56°F and 64°F but may drop to 40°F at night if there is a cold spell; it should be dry. Dress for town and country as worn in England in autumn with a light outer coat for evenings or sudden cold spell.

China
Temperatures between freezing and about minus 10°c. Warmest winter clothing needed for outdoors; indoors, clothing as for winter in London. No formal wear.
Seoul
Weather in January likely to be dry and cold temperatures probably below freezing and could be 20°C below. Dress: warm overcoat required. Long dress for ladies useful. Black tie not needed.
Tokyo
Weather cold but probably clear and dry. Warm clothing. Ladies wear short and long dresses for evening functions. No need for black tie.
