SECRETARY OF STATE'S VISIT TO CHINA AND JAPAN: NOTE FOR CABINET
1.
I attach as requested points to make and a short background. note on the visit to China and Japan. I also attach a copy of the note prepared for the Lord Privy Seal's use in Cabinet last week covering the Hong Kong leg of the tour.
2. I am submitting these on a contingency basis. The Private Secretary will presumably have drafted a brief on the basis of discussions with the Secretary of State on the return journey.
