Having now returned from China and Japan to London,
I would like to thank you and your colleagues for your hospitality to my wife, myself and my party during our
visit to Hong Kong.
We greatly enjoyed our lunch in the Officers' Mess at Sek Kong on 31 March. It was very useful to have this opportunity to talk to you and other officers and their wives in such a relaxed atmosphere. We were then able to
gain an excellent first hand impression of some of the problems you face during our helicopter flight along the
border and our visit to Man Kam To.
I should be grateful if you could pass on our thanks
to all those who helped to look after us.
