Now that I have returned to London, I would like to thank you for your hospitality to my wife, myself and my party on 30 March, during our brief visit to
Hong Kong.
I was most interested to see the power station site, and it was a most happy coincidence that we were able to make the public announcement about the Castle Peak B contract on the same day. This has given a tremendous boost to the efforts which British engineering
I companies are making in the Far East and elsewhere. hope that it is a portent of things to come in China. would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for the role which you personally have played in this matter.
We greatly appreciated the buffet lunch which you gave for us. This made a pleasant and relaxed start to our programme in Hong Kong. And it was of course a great pleasure to see you and Lady Kadoorie I hope we can repeat in London in the not too distant
future.
