Thank you very much for your letter of 19th January and I am so glad that we will definitely have the pleasure after all of welcoming you to Hong Kong.
I am sorry however for not being able to have dinner with you on 30th March as suggested by Sir Murray's office as I am scheduled to depart that day for Washington, D.C. to chair the INTERTANKO meetings but am grateful for the appointment which has been made for me to visit you at 10:30 in the morning.
I was at President Reagan's inauguration in Washington on 20th January and I think his reference to Sir Winston Churchill in his speech was both diplomatic and praise- worthy.
