Sen Salina,
Thank you for sending over a copy of Dick Clift's suggestions.
2. As time is on my side and not on that of those who are to see me, I have blocked out Monday 31 August to Thursday 17 September inclusive, Monday and Tuesday 28 and 29 September and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6, 7 and 8 October, to give you plenty of scope.
3.
Perhaps the FCO (Ridley, Bridges, Donald, McLaren, Burns, McInnes, Jones or Adams) could be fitted into the week beginning 31 August; the Home Office, Metropolitan Police and FCO's Overseas Police Adviser in the week beginning 7 September; the Department of Trade, Department of Industry, ECGD and Ministry of Defence in the first four days of the week beginning 14 September; and the security people on 28 or 29 September. That would leave the last three days I have mentioned for the Treasury (Lawson and Brittan) and the Bank of England (McMahon), and perhaps a return call or two in the FCO.
