Mechanical repair work to Chinese shipping in Hong Kong has normally been carried out in the past by the CPG-controlled Yiu Lian Machinery Repairing Works Ltd. In the interest of economy the Ocean Tramping Company has now formed a mechanical repairing section with a staff of 40 to carry out minor repairs to its ships, and the Yick Fung Shipping Company is also considering the formation of its own repairs section. Major repairs will continue to be carried out by the Yiu Lian Company.

Journal, a publication with communist connections, and the newspaper is printed by a Wen Wei Pac subsidiary.
