(a) In August 1980 the Education

Department (ED) took over from the Social Welfare Department (SWD) the World Rehabilitation Fund Day Centre for the provision of vocational training. Two additional floors will be completed by December 1981 to provide an additional 84 training places for the disabled and the establishment of a Vocational Assessment Centre.

(b) DSW is considering in conjunction

with the Director of Housing taking over one of the 3 school premises in public housing estates offered by D of E to accommodate services to be transferred out of the World Rehabilitation Fund Day Centre.

(c) A revised draft Code of Aid has

been received from D of E and is under consideration in the Social Services Branch.
