In November 1980, ATLA granted BCal's and CPA's applications for the removal of the frequency restriction on their licences and refused Laker Airways' application for a licence. BCal have not yet increased their weekly number of flights beyond four, but CPA are currently operating five services a week.
(ii) BCal's application for the addition of Abu Dhabi to its licence will be heard by ATLA on 3 March. No representations are being made by HKG.
(iii) BCal are exercising rights at Dubai,
following the grant of the necessary licence by CAA on 2 January. CPA are carrying traffic between Bahrain and London and v.v, following the issue of the requisite temporary operating permit by the Bahrain civil aviation authorities in December.
Action completed.
To await the out- come of the hearing.
To keep in view so that, if necessary support may be lent to CPA's case for permanent rights between Bahrain and London.
