(ILO)
Purpose
To provide training facilities in certain of the para-medical fields, and to introduce legislation for controlling certain para-medical professions.
(a) To increase the clinical
staff at Queen Mary Hospital QMH), to review the long term staffing requirements, and to examine whether the
integrated system proposed
for the Prince of Wales
Hospital should be adopted
for use at QMH.
Progress made and present position (a) Arrangements have been made for the
gazetting of the membership of the Supplementary Medical Professions Council and four individual professional Boards.
(b)
Additional drafting instructions from the Director of Medical and Health Services on the Medical Laboratory Technicians (Registration & Disciplinary Procedures) Regulations 1980 are being examined.
The 4th draft reort is now being revised in the light of the latest comments received from UPGC in March' on the University of Hong Kong's staffing requirement and the up-to-date information on existing beds and staffing provided by DMHS and HKU.
(b) To expand and improve the The appointment of consultant architects to

During the quarter, two improved declarations (Conventions Nos. 14 and 101) and one first time declaration (No. 148) were forwarded to the FCO for registration by the ILO. The
