Progress made and present position
(c) The Council for National Academic Awards
(CNAA) Report on its first series of visits to the Baptist and Lingnan Colleges was received in March. This report, together with a paper on the future role of the two Colleges has been considered in CRPSTE concluding that:
(i) Baptist has potential for development
but extra funding needed;
(ii) Baptist should come within ambit of
UPCC, but in order that this could be implemented for the 1984/7 triennium, UPGC/Baptist dialogue should commence by April 1982;

(iii) interim improvements were needed in
the period to 1984;
(iv) Lingnan might best concentrate on being a Sixth Form College.
(d) Major modifications to the Baptist College Board of Governors Incorporation Ordinance (Cap. 1126) are now being considered, rather than major amendments to the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap. 320). Drafting instructions have been prepared and discussed with Branches and Departments.

for Universities 1984/85 to be taken into account degree course tuition fees for 1984/85 should be publicity and Polytechnic for grant purposes.
$3,600 and other full-time fees at the Polytechnic should be $2,600. A revised Student Finance Scheme came into operation in April 1981.
