Festival at
Sha Tin
Racecourses.
To make use of the Racecourse
facilities for community recreation.
Committees have been set up to prepare for this Festival. Sponsors include the H.K. Government, Jockey Club, Armed Forces, HYK & HKTVB.
To continue with the preparations in time for the Festival on 12-14 September.
13. N.T. District To implement Boards 1981-❘ proposals of 82.
14. Sport, Music
and Dance
district
administration White Paper.
To develop all facets of community activity in the New Territories.
Review of DB profile 1980-81 completed. Nominations of new members agreed and being screened by Police (Special Branch) and ICAC.
N.T. inter-district football and basketball leagues are being run smoothly. District profile on music and dance completed. Dis- cussions held with Music Office regarding increased activity in N.T. District Arts Associations encouraged to take more interest in the promotion of dance among the younger population.
New members for 1981-82 to be appointed before end of March.
Establishment of leagues in 4 other sports. Organisation of N.T. music fairs in late 1981 in Yuen Long and
possibly Sha Tin. Meeting to be held with leaders of District Arts Associations on 19.6.81.
