(a) The Committee to Review Post-
Secondary & Technical Education (CRPSTE) has completed its work and its report has been accepted by the Governor-in-Council as a basis for further consulta-: tions with the University and Polytechnic Grants Committee (UPGC) and the Panel for the Overall Review (Item 2 above). Comments from interested. Government departments and Secretariat Branches are being invited.

(b) Interim financial arrangements
for the Baptist College were accepted by the Governor-in- Council on 16 June, and the financial commitments involved were approved by the Finance Committee on 22 July. In return for this new form of financial assistance, the College has been asked to accept major modifications to the Hong Kong Baptist College Board of Governors Incorporation Ordinance (Cap. 1126).
Action on the imple- mentation of the Committee recommen- dations will continue in the new Education Branch.
