To provide up-to-date information on a) Special Committee on Land Supply the present and future availability of land for all purposes in a land
production programme.

these areas;

Next Quarter Targets
a) SCLS to continue following up recommendations,
Report to the Governor for 1980, recommending targets for the production and sale of land in various land use categories and advising on the adequacy of Government projects in relation to these targets, was published on 22.6.81. SCLS met on 24.6.81 and decided on action to rationalise the temporary use of Crown Land and reservations of land for Government and community use.

Two new Unofficial members were appointed to SCLS.
The Land Development Policy Committee agreed in principle to create a land use/transportation optimisation model for the purpose of testing a large number of population distribution options in broad economic terms relative to land development and transportation implications. mathematically based methodology would permit the use of currently available computer facilities to permit rapid assessments of the effects of modifying variables such as mix of housing types, population
