Due to wide coverage of EAG activities by the media, the public is under the impression that the Group 13: larger and more influential than it actually is. Its Chairman, Mr. Anthony Ea, apparently has a better public image than, say, Hr. Szeto the Professional Teachers Union. Mr. Ha is able to give the public
Fast the impression that he is balanced and well-informed. activities of EAG, in particular the public queries it raised, had brought about a heavy workload for E staff.
It is worth noting that the EAG has also been involved in other social issues such as housing and gambling and the group's comments have at times been expressed to visiting Ps. This might be due to the fact that most of EAGs original educational targets have now been met by Government and is therefore extending its interest to other social service fields.
Nonetheless the 3G is keen in maintaining respectability in the eyes of the middle class and has so far only been prepared to give limited support to more radical or political actims.
