1. You may not have seen the statement by Mr Dennis Canavan MP in the Review of 13 March that he had written to the FCO about an article in the New Statesman about SCOPG.
2. Mr Canavan wrote to Mr Blaker on 26 January following up his supplementary question in the House on 21 January. Mr Ridley replied in Mr Blaker's absence on 6 February. It is therefore incorrect of Mr Canavan to say that he is still waiting to hear from us.
