9. The United Kingdom took an active part in the discussion
of international economic and political questions at the
Summit meeting in Ottawa in July of the leaders of the seven
major industrialised countries.
10.
My Government have continued to participate in efforts
to achieve an internationally recognised settlement in
Namibia. They have also supported the efforts of the
countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations at
the International Conference on Cambodia in New York in July
and elsewhere, to promote a settlement of the problem caused
by Vietnam's armed occupation of Cambodia.
