A native of Yuen Long in the New Territories, Mr. Yeung
has been heavily involved in local district voluntary sources, active as a member of the Lions and Jaycees organisations and Chairman of the Hong Kong Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society (1974 76), etc.
Current Member of the Board of Education, Council for Recreation and Sport, Heung Yee Kuk Executive Committee, etc.
An amicable and generally unassuming person, Mr. Yeung
is a steady committee man noted for his cautious, practical and down-to-earth views. He was appointed to Legislative Council as a representative of the people of the New Territories though he is not heavily involved in local Heung Yee Kuk politics. He is also noted for his connection with the Japanese population in Hong Kong through his wife, a Japanese, and his chairmanship of the Japanese Club and Japan Society of Hong Kong.
His interests include horse-racing and sports.
