1. Trapp was sentenced to death by hanging on 9 February 1981. He appealed on the 20 February 1981 on the grounds that 'the verdict of the jury should be set aside on the grounds that it is unreasonable and cannot be supported having regard to the evidence'.
2. Trapp's notice of appeal is being considered.

The Court of Appeal delivered judgement on 5 March to the effect that William's appeal against conviction was dismissed. The Governor's Committee on Prerogative of Mercy will take an early opportunity to consider the case.
Seymour (Samuel) Thomas

The Court of Appeal delivered judgement on Thomas' appeal against conviction for murder; the appeal was dismissed. The Governor's Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy will consider the case.
