I was telephoned yesterday by Miss Clare Demuth of Transport House. She is preparing; background notes forepating members on the Select Committee. She asked if she could have the following information on your territories:
a) constitutional position and plans for independence
b) the number of population of the territory who already have the right of abode in the UK
c) an indication of the local reaction to the current pro- visions of the Nationality Bill
d) a note on the economy of the territory
e) a copy of the current Immigration Laws.
I attach a short note on your territories: would you be kind enough to amerd as necessary. question.
