There is of course a great deal of work still to be done.
must now draft the Constitution. We must also prepare and present legislation to Parliament to provide for the granting of independence to Belize. In Belize also there will be a great deal of preparatory work to do. We must both seek to complete the negotiations with Guatemala satisfactorily over the treaties in time for independence.
It only remains therefore for me to wish Belize at the close
of this Constitutional Conference all success in the future and an
early passage to independence.
