D) In accordance with DSR, 1st class air fares for officers in DS grades 1 3 and their families between the UK and Hong Kong on appointment and final departure. Officers in DS grade 4 and their families are also entitled to 1st class travel between the UK and Hong Kong on appointment and final departure provided they travel by the approved route. Economy class air fares are payable for all other officers and their families in accordance with DSR.
E) Fare-paid leave passages (Hong Kong/London/Hong Kong) for officers and families at post, under the same conditions as in section D) above, after two years' service in Hong Kong.
F) Free accommodation furnished to DS standards, including hard and soft furnishings and air-conditioning.

L) An interest-free advance of salary for car purchase, repayable over two years, on appointment to Hong Kong, may be made from public funds (DSR 31). Personnel Services Department, FCO, should be consulted to check for eligibility and to obtain application forms.

An advance of overseas allowances repayable over two years may be made if required. PSD should be consulted to obtain application forms.
Participation in the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme.
