It is proposed to issue a brief statement after the approval of necessary funds by the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council. At the same time, copies of the Report and the letter will be distributed to Heads of Departments and staff associations and be made available to the public and the media.

Me mbers will be asked to advi se whether the recommendations in the Second Report on Civil Service Pay (Report No 5) should be accepted, subject to the provision of the necessary funds by the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council, and subject to the benefits extended to married female staff being the same as for single women, except for the addition of medical benefits for the children of married female staff. Members will also be asked to advise whether the recommendations concerning Technical and Survey Officer Grades contained in the letter dated 7th October 1980 should be accepted.
