Mr Robert Parry MP (Liverpool, Scotland Exe ange - Laboiir)
wrote to the Secretary of State on 18 March enclosing copies of
letters addressed to the Governor which he had received from the
Hong Kong Social Workers General Union, about a dispute over the recent Welfare Class pay review. Mr Parry asked three PQs related
to this union's dispute on 26 March.

Mr Blaker sent an interim reply on 26 March, pending a
full report by the Hong Kong Government.
3.
I recommend that Mr Blaker write again to Mr Parry on the
lines of the attached self-explanatory draft, which is based on
information provided by the Hong Kong Government.
