Proposed Tribunal to deal with civil servants
known to be corrupt (and others)
Thank you for your letter of 10 April-enquiring about progress on this matter. You are one jump ahead of me.
I haven't yet taken this matter any further because James So and his staff are having to concentrate at present on a number of other more pressing matters such as civil service housing assistance. Basically, it remains our view that some kind of tribunal to deal with serious disciplinary cases other than corruption would be advantageous, and I hope we shall be able to make some progress on this idea during the summer.
