You will find attached a General Schools' Circular which I ask you to bring to the notice of all teachers and other staff employed by your school. It may result in your Supervisor or Principal or Head Teacher being approached to give permission to accept gifts or rewards, and I hope the following guidance will help them and you to " deal with these.

Jon Section 9 of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance lays the responsibility on the Management Committee as an employer to decide what advantages may or may not be accepted by school staff. In carrying out this responsibility, Management Committees are reminded of the special position of schools in relation to their influence on young people and the need for their staff individually, and the schools as a whole, to be in every way above suspicion of any trace of doubtful practices.

Examples of advantages which it might be difficult to
