committed by a Crown servant by or through the misuse of office. Both offences are so closely associated with corruption that it is considered necessary for them to be subject to the Commission's duty to investigate.

Section 6 extends the time limit for a prosecution for a summary offence under section 13B ("False reports to officers") and section 13C ("Falsely pretending to be an officer, etc.").

Section 7 creates a new section 17A which establishes a Welfare Fund for the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
