DRAFT FOREIGN COMPENSATION (PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA) (REGISTRATION) ORDER 1980
1. I refer to paragraph 4 of your telegram No 1125 and enclose a copy of the draft Order which has been revised to take account of paragraph 1 of the same telegram. Since the papers on this subject have to be with the Privy Council Office by 30 October, I should be grateful if you would let me have any comments telegraphically and as soon as possible.
2. I confirm that there would be no requirement for you to register claims and that the appropriate public notices will be placed in the press in Hong Kong. Your offer to translate any claims submitted in Chinese is greatly appreciated.
