(a) the Immigration (Amendment) Bill 1980 at Annex A
and the Immigration Service (Amendment) Bill 1980 at Annex C should be introduced into the Legislative Council; and
(b) the Immigration (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 1980 at Annex B should be approved in principle, to be re-submitted to Members after the Bill at Annex A has passed into law.
(The Secretary for Security (Mr L. M. DAVIES), the Director of Immigration (Mr R. G. B. BRIDGE) and the Assistant Law Draftsman (Mr I. C. RANGEL) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
